Push rod length for my cam?
Im going to be running a 228r cam in my 02 z28 with stock 241 heads, and i dont have a length checker and thought someone might know.

I'm running 7.425" pushrods on my 228r with stock heads and head gaskets and have no valvetrain noise. 7.40" are good for most aftermarket cams with stock heads, but the 228r has a smaller base circle then most which warrents the use of the 7.425" pushrods. Before I did my install, I bought a pair of digital calipers and measured each lobe of the stock cam and 228r and ran the numbers to conclude that the 7.425" was the right length to get near stock lifter pre-load.

If you're not going to measure, 7.400" would be the best guess for that XER lobe on a completely stock long block.
