Default Oil pressure and noise, LQ9 Swap

The specs
2004 LQ9 bottom end Stock 30k Miles Escalade – ARP rod bolts
317 Heads bowl blended and mild ported, Yellow z06 springs – Stock rockers
Trick Flow stock length pushrods – Stock lifters
Comp 451 cam
Comp double roller timing set
Melling 10296 pump lower pressure spring

Started this motor last night to replace a 150k Mile Lq4 in my 2500 RCLB 2wd and first off it was making what sounded like a lifter/rocker but that went away after a min or so (motors not ran in 2+ years) but now I hear allot of noise under the hood almost sounds like a injection pump on a diesel or something to often to be one rocker/lifter i think and to soft of a sound. Next concern is even with the 10296 (LP spring) pump I’m seeing 30-35 psi idle warm oil pressure and up at about 2000-2500 hits 40, the 150k mile stock Lq4 would idle at 40-45 and hit 55-60 easily.

I did prime this motor with a stand alone external pump and I could get to about 55PSI before it appeared we were hitting the bleeder on the oil pump so everything seems sealed up took little effort to hit 50-55psi (hand crank pump setup). I’m 6 quarts in and its JUST registering on the dispstick.. I did install a new dipstick tube 12563918 that the local GM dealer told me was correct but now I’m seeing it says L92 07+ motors.. and I’m not sure if that’s the same as my 03 lq4 dipstick in my 04 LQ9 with LQ9 pan.. pans were the same between LQ4 and my LQ9 though.

Looking for a couple ideas oil pressure is the biggest concern, going to start with taking acc belt off and making sure that’s not the noise, then I’ll look at rockers etc. If it idles at 30-35 and revs to 2-3k and hits 40-42 and slowly bleeds off the noise does seem to go away slightly revving it but its hard to tell if its stopping or drowning it out.
