Default Would 110-112 LSA work well?

Hey guys, I'm looking at cams for my 2001 WS6. I would really like to get the G5X2 cam, but emissions is a factor. But my other choice was going to be a TR224 224 112 LSA, but I was also thinking about a 110-111 LSA as well. Will anything lower than a 112 pass emissions?

Also, forgetting emissions for a minute, how would the idle be on a 110 LSA compared to a 112? Is there much of a noticeable difference? I want the idle to have a noticeable lobe to it. I want it to be heard, to show there is a cam. Not stealthy. More importantly, how would the driveability be? I have an M6. Thanks a lot guys!!!

For passing smog, depends where you are. In california, they slap our cars on a dyno and test for emmisions under load So a TR224 112 prob wouldnt pass

The 112 is pushing it, some people pass and some dont. Your tune will have a lot to do with it. A 110 will lope harder than a 112.

I would personally get the 114 if emissions is a serious concern. 114's are easier on emissions, carry the powerband longer, and the idle isn't much different from a 112. A TR224 114 is a great cam for your application IMO...

exactly what kind of emissions do you have? if you have a sniffer forget the big cams. if you have an obdII test then you can pass with tune as long as your not throwing up codes. and considering your pretty stock i'd consider more bolt ons before you look into a cam.
