Default ls2 or 243 heads?

Hi, I have a 1998 z28 camaro, auto, im from Guadalajara, Jalisco (tequilas land) jeje
Mods that i have are:
1. 373 gears
2. cam 222/224 Comp cams and valve springs
3. headers
4. 3000 stall
5. PCM repro by RED
6. LCAs and Relocation brackets
7. Stock heads

And my car is running 1/4 13.5 13.6 here in Guadalajara...
Im very confused now because a have 2 options:
1. I recently bought a 243 stock heads and i donk now if I should ported them? or let them stock
2. A friend has a C6 6.0L motor stock and he says me that is a very simple swap.. i was reading a lot of posts but im still confused? i already read i need relocatro wheels, knock extension and cam extension right? anything else? i imagine the ls2 heads are 243 right?
3. what would you do? put the 243 ported heads or get them back and swap for a stock 6.0L? i appreciate all your help...

ls2's are 243s, but 243s aren't LS2s.
243 (ls6 heads) have sodium filled valves. Ls2 do not. Makes for a lighter valvetrain Both heads will be stamped 243s (sometimes 799 same thing though) Stock they can provide 15-20 hp over stock heads. Ported is always better, but depends on your budget.

I would stay with the Ls1 and port the 243's that you have.

This is SOOO not true. You can easily screw up a set of heads by porting them and not knowing what your doing.

If we get technical then yes, you're right. I was assuming that the OP would have them done professionally (granted they still can get ruined, but assuming no wrong, ported is better than stock)
