Default Trex on ls1 A4

Hi, my borther has a ls1 A4 but a friend is selling his cam is a Trex, he already has 3000stall, headers, springs, 373 gears.. as same as mine jeje
do u recomend that cam for an A4? actually he has a 222/224 comp cams but no matter about gas! hes concern about high rmp and motor´s life.. what do u think?

We would probably need to know what the car is being used for before recommending such a large cam.

mostly 1/4 mille...and some city road no highway... but do u think will work with 3000 stall?

it would work well with a 3k stall if you plan on hitting it with a 250 shot off the line.

lol that would be fun.

back to the op, the 3k stall is WAY to small... i would go with atleast 4k and your gears are a little small for this cam too. i would look into another cam myself. dont forget that you will need pushrods, retainers, springs and all that other good stuff. what are the goals for the car?

4K Stall
Dual Springs .650 Lift
Gears.
Flycut pistons if you really wanna be "safe".

To use that camshaft to its fulliest potential, you would need a 4000+ stall and a minimum of a 3.73 gear. A 4.10 would actually work better though.
