Default Technical cam install question

I'm in the middle of installing the new Speed inc. SI6 cam in my 02 C5 and I wanted to degree the cam in to double check the Comp cam card and to make a long story short I have the SLP double roller timing set with the different keyways in the crank gear, and i installed it at “0” degrees. No advance or retard.
According to the cam card the intake centerline should be at 110 degrees, only problem is we get 108.5 degrees, and we’ve checked it 3+ times to make sure and we can repeat everytime.

Now the question is do I leave it all alone or do I change the crank gear position 2 degree increment to make the intake centerline 110.5 degrees?

One note I want to tell ya, we are doing this without the head on. We just are putting the dial indicator on the #1 intake lifter. In theory it should be the same technique as putting it on the retainer of the valve correct?

Looking forward to your answers! Thanks!

No replies? I'd think this would be a common problem need answered?
