Default LS6 Cam gains

How much RWHP do you guys think I would pick up with LTs ORY cut out lid LS6 intake and whatever supporting mods I need (springs or push rods)
On an LS1

Also anyone with LS6 cam and their mods/gains please post up.

Thanks

Essentially u'd be just making you ls1 into a ls6 minus the heads a full bolt on ls6 is usually around 380-390rwhp if memory serves so subtract mayb 15hp away for the heads as theyre not worth a whole lot stock anyway. If your going to leave the heads stok I'd suggest a little bit bigger cam maybe a 224/224 or 228/228 on a 112 lsa or higher if you want a smoother idle.

360-370. I made 371 with Comp 212/218 .558/.563 115 cam with mods in sig which is close to the ls6 cam but a little bigger.

I recommend a 224r if you want something mild. That cam will get you close to 380 most likely.

I don't know if you're gonna have a shop do the work or not, but IMO if you're gonna spend the money I would get something else that may be a little bigger but in return makes more power.

Just my .02

Good luck either way you go bro!

Thanks! I'll definately go something bigger then. I want something mild with a slightly lopey idle for very good drivabilty. Shooting for 400+rwhp with LT's ORY Cut out, LS6 intake, lid and cam.

Mods in sig

Keep in mind I left 15hp or so on the table considering I run mids, stock tb, and stock catback Heres an idle clip example.

That sounds very nice..but the stock cat back doesn't really matter with the cut out. And I'd want something in the similar sound range, maybe a bit more hp but those are very great numbers! I'm sure with the set up I eventually have planned I'll a little bit more power.

There are plenty of cams out there to choose from, I chose to go with TSP as they have plenty of proven results. Good luck

If you are going to go to all the trouble to install a cam than I would get something bigger.
The LS6 cam is kinda not worth the effort.I would go with at least a TR224 or a TSP224.
A 224 cam is a nice streetable all around proven cam.Even a 228 would be a good choice.

Yeah I'm probably going to go with something bigger now. How much RWHP difference is the 228r vs the 224
