Question can you bore a 2000 ls1 block to 4.030? exotic performance

No, you can not bore one anywhere near that unless you have it re-sleeved which is big money. Those pistons would be used in other LS based blocks like an LQ4 or 9 for example.

Commonly used aftermarket piston sizes for the LS1 would be 3.903, 3.905, and at the most, 3.908. The stock bore is 3.898 fyi.

Only way to get a LS1 block that wide is to install sleeves. With MID set-up, you can run over 4.125 inch bore but be prepared to spend a lot of money with this set-up.

"LS1" is a relative term used to describe Gen III, VI, and IV engines.
