Default H/C/I Reliability/Longevity List

Im going to be doing HCI on my Trans Am with 96K on the clock, and I always see these threads in the FI or Nitrous section, so i figured i might start one here just to see how it goes.

Every now and then you see a thread pop up about someone intalling HCI on a 130+K motor and lasting to 180-200K, or someone doing HCI at 25K and lasting to 30K

I would like to know what other members experiences are with different HCI setups as for how long they lasted, what setup, what broke....

THIS IS NOT A POWER COMPARISON, so please dont make it one.

HCI mileage installed at, example....installed 25K-100K)
Cam/Valvetrain, example....2xx, 2xx 11x LSA
Head Type, example... Stock, Ported, Aftermarket
If broke what broke, ex.....Spun a rod at 50K due to 7K shifts
Drivetrain, A4/M6
Drivability, Bad...Ok...Livable...Good... Like Stock

This is a really good idea. I have 142K on my motor. I am about to buy the MS3/PRC 5.3/ 90/90 combo and was considering a complete rebuild. However, I talked to some guys at TSPa few months ago about piston choice and they recommended doing a compression check to see if I actually needed a rebuild. The car still runs and pulls fine. They said they have customers doing H/C/I combos with mileage even greater than mine, and some of them spray.

I'm cam only and have been for a little over a year now, probably like 13k miles and had no problems.

Cam only with 131k on the clock, with prob 20k on the cam and valvetrain. Compression is perfect and I hope to spray in the future.

I did H/C/I at 85k Im at 91k with no problems but i did put a new chain and comp oem lifters just for some insurance. If the compressions good you should have no problems.

Stock ported heads with 2.055 intake valves ,92/92, 228/234 599 lift partriot 660 springs

Bought my car in December 2005 at about 57k, very stock. Did all the bolt ons over the next 2 years. In September of 2007 at about 110k I installed 'stockish' 243's (mill 0.015, bowl blend & valve job) and the TR224 (224/224, 0.563/0.563 114lsa). Installed my LS7 clutch in November of 2008 at about 140k. Rebuilt my 10 bolt this past November. Now I'm at about 159k. Not many stock parts left besides the short block, runs great (knock on wood). Mild setup, easy to drive on my crappy commute.
