I have the TSP228R cam (see sign) and love it. I just had it and the heads put on at the same time. The car surges a little at first start up and settles down after a few miles. No tune yet except for changing the idle to 950. It hasn't died on me anywhere yet. It has snowed or been bad weather ever since I had it finished 3 weeks ago so I hope to get it dyno'd and tuned soon. I might try the track soon to see how it runs now.

MTI doesn't stock the T1 any more but several sponsors still sell the Lunati version. There are also used T1's out there too. I would tend to favor a new design for the most part.

With the 228R camshaft and a little tuning the cam will be great for daily driver use. The 231.237 picked up 14rwhp over a 224XER camshaft, and I've picked up 8rwhp going from a 224R to the 228R camshaft. IMHO the 228R idles very well with some light tuning, and is a great option to anyone considering a mid size camshaft We offer camshaft tuning for customers who don't mind sending their computers in. We do camshaft tunes for $125

I still need alittle tune on mine. It has alittle done for the cam but surges at cold start. What kind of turn around is involved in that? Thanks

You send your PCM to us, the same day we receive it, Jason will tune it and send it back out. If you want it faster for less downtime, we can also overnight it back to you
