I went from the C1 to the TSP231.237 and saw decent gains.
231 Cam + cutout gave me .7 sec at the track.

SOUTH.FL.02.SS-i'm looking for as good of an idle i can get! my c1 cam idles pretty smooth,i wont mind if the idle gets a BIT rough. my car is a street driver so i really dont want the old 60's bigblock idle. i'm looking to squeez another 15 or 20hp from another cam. HOW THE HELL DID THAT GIVE .7SEC? wow, that 231cam must be awsome. tell me how does that cam idle, sound and perform as a daily driver? thanks, mike c.

you cant run with this cam with milled heads.

I have it on a 111 LSA and I like the way it idles. I dont mind driving it every day.

Made 376 with stock heads, LS1 intake, stock TB, Stock pulley,

just lid, LTs, and cam.

I just sold my tsp 228/228.

I loved the cam idled with m6 and no tuning.

Very nice lope to it.

Sounded mean as hell with the dual cutouts open.

I also saw .9 opening the dual electric cutouts at the track with this cam.

Going much bigger now but I loved the tsp cam. Made 400 with LT open cutouts stock heads on a 3.42 geared m6 with 28 inch M/T's.

Well, that's why I asked about what kinda idle you'd be lookin' for, 'cause the 231 is pretty choppy. It sounds mean...

Drives OK daily.

T1 is smaller in case your wondering and they dont make it anymore, specs are 221/221 .558/.558 112lsa. the c1 is the smallest they make now at 222/222 .566/.566 112.

i do not have a 228/228.........yet. But, i know of many local customers who daily drive with the 228 and love it, and have no problems with it. It is the cam i will be going with as soon as i get my LT1 into the 11s, and begin moding the TA. I may be biased in my opinion, but many others in this post have given the same opinion...

I'm probably going to go with something very similar. The MMS cams have very similar ramp rates to XE-R but less lift. I found an older MMS229v2.1 that's on a 114 LSA that should be simlar in many ways to the TSP. With tuning I was told by a couple of former MMS229 owners on the 114 LSA w/tuning it was a good driving cam after the car warmed up. I think the TSP would be about the same...maybe a little better with the XE-R ramps and being a newer design.

Quick Reply: is anyone using the tsp 228/228 588/588 112 cam?
