millage what are some of the miles you are getting on the ls1 cars.
reason for asking is i have a 2000 with 105.000 and the motor is knocking
i also have a 2000 that was wrecked and has 148.000 miles on it and is running good
so i was thinking of just swaping motors but then again i thought i might freshen it up before i install it but i could all ways build the other motor the way i want then swap again

I just hit 188,888 miles today, I've never lifted the valve covers or oil pan and it runs great (time in my sig was from this past October). Just idles a bit rough (ignition issue? not sure) and there's some oil on the back two plugs. I really should do a compression and leakdown test.
