Default bilding lq9, have a question about cam.springs

Ok, I'm buying a 6.0 liter block that all I know has been rebuilt and has flat top pistons and a 236/242 .580/.590 112 LSA spec'd cam in it. I know I'm going to have use different springs like some PRC duals but can I use LS1 heads with it as well.

With a 4" bore and that big of a cam, I would not use LS1 heads. At least get a pair of 243 heads.

I plan on it eventually, just wondering if LS1 heads would work for now without screwing up anything. Thanks.

I'm not sure of the lobe profiles but I'm assuming the LQ9 heads are stock so you could swap them for a stock set of LS1 heads without an issue. I would recommend checking PTV prior to starting the engine. Just don't put it together and hit the key to check it!
