Engine oil today is waaaaay better than 20-30 years ago. Lots of research and $$$ has gone into these formulas and you are just pissing $$$ away with an additive. Some additives are even harmful. An example there a lawsuit right now against that XR1 crap

Yep never beat on your car til it is fully warm. Spring and bearings hate that ****....

so 50 miles and then oil change,, on light conventional oil? anybody else have input?

ok sounds good. i am not planning on running the lucas until after i change the oil a couple times. thanks guys

You shouldnt run additives because lucas doesnt know whats already in the other oil you bought. You wind up running too much of one thing (detergent) and not enough of the other (oil)
