Texas Speed motor? Come on in
Just looking for anybody who has purchased a motor from Texas Speed. Any issues or problems with it. If you did have any issues or problems how were they when it came to dealing with them about the problem and them fixing it? In prices they seem to be cheaper than most builders and want to hear any stories anybody has about their engines. Thanks

my 408 dyno'd within 2hp and tq saturaday of when i first got it in and tuned 2 years and 3 months ago. doesnt burn oil. my only peeve with the whole ordeal is my compression was not what it was supposed to be based on something they claimed i said. I didnt. Basically when i called them back and asked about it, i was told i'd told them not to mill my heads. very not true, so my motor is down roughly a point and a half compression. they offered to fix, but required me to pay. not my mistake so im not paying for it.

I have a TSP 347 in my car and it has been running strong for about 3 1/2 years. My only regret is not going with more cubes when I was in the market for an engine. I bought new heads and cam at the same time and for just a bit more money I could have had way more power. At the time I was just looking to get my car back up and running as quickly and cheaply as possible.

I had an issue with an engine I purchased from them, HOWEVER they were quick to resolve it. I've got almost 30K on my engine now, and other than the regret I have for not purchasing a larger one (not their fault!) I'm happy with it.

I never have purchased a motor from TSP but have spent over $4,000 with them and have always received great service. They have always taken the time to help me with tech questions.
Good Luck!!!

Couldn't get it tuned before it started ticking, took it back to the shop long story short they installed wrong length push rods. when we called tsp they talk to use like we were some stupid red neck, hill billy. we got it fixed and made 517 hp 505 tq

Bought my forged 347ci from them back in 05 and have never had a problem with it.10,000 miles of boost and running strong. Changing my blower pully and adding meth in about a week, hopping to hit my goal of 600hp up here in this thin air. Not worried about my bottom end one bit.

I think you guys have convinced me to go the Texas speed route. They seem to have better prices than anybody on motors and very few of you have indicated you had any problems and when you did it sounds like they fixed it which means they have good customer service.
