Is there a 5.3 head that is NOT good for performance applications? I have access to a new set of 5.3 heads and an experienced head porter that I want to give the 5.3 casting to. Are all 5.3 heads made equal or is there a desirable/less desirable casting?

 

I have read a few places that say the 706 come ported from the factory but the 862s don't, but if you are taking them to a machine shop to have work done then there won't be a difference in the finished product

 

They're all the same.
