Default oil pressure too low?

I have a 2000 camaro motor in my nissan. It has 141k miles approx.

I changed to a ported ls6 oil pump when i did the cam, and replaced the o-ring.

AFAIK, nothing got pinched and should be dandy. I did this at 136k miles.

i have a prosport oil pressure gauge, with the sender in the stock location.

it shows about 29psi oil pressure at highway speed, and 25psi idle. It does increase with rpm, probably 45psi or so at 5k?

Is this too low oil pressure? Im not sure what this motor is supposed to have, nor if the prosport gauge is measuring accurately. I dont see why it wouldn't though.

That is well within "normal" GM spec but I think most on here have better OP.

What was pressure before the pump swap?

i do not know about before, i never ran it before. It came out of a wrecked camaro SS and i bought the motorset off of here.

It has been running fine for ~5k miles, so if it is in normal spec i will just keep on keepin on.

I am going to get a accusump eventually though.

THanks guys

That's decent pressure with that many miles. A ported pump won't provide more pressure unless you alter the bypass spring shim.
