Default 6.0 build?

I am getting a list around to do a 6.0 build. I can get a plain lq9 block for $300 or would i be better off going with a lq9 short block for $550. If i wanted to do a 408 stroker build, could i use the stock rods and pistons from the lq9, also what would i need to buy and where would i buy it from? Obviously i need a crank rods and pistons, but would the oil pan and all that fit on the lq9 from my ls1? I would also like to go with 10:1 compression, an agressive cam and match it with a good pair of heads, i also have an ls6 intake i am wanting to put on. I am new to the 6.0 so any help would be great.

I'd go ahead and swap out the stockers for forged rods and pistons if you're already gonna go with a stroker crank. The oil pan will swap over.

if going with a stroker crank, you have no choice but to get different length rods and different pistons or else the pistons would come out of the block to far and hit the heads.

If you stroke it, bare block. If you just want to get a motor together and run it, ls6 heads, intake and what ever cam you want to run (with supporting mods) on the short block is the way to go.
