Default Oversize Piston Rings

Hi all,

I am running 10 thou oversize pistons on my LS1 and i am finding it difficult to source piston rings for them. My bore size is 3.908 can anybody steer me in the right direction of where i can find some rings?

Any help would be much appreciated i have looked on online stores but can only find 5 thou oversize rings.

Total Seal should have what you are looking for.

You need to tell them what the radial walls are or you will repeat your problem.

I contacted Total Seal and gave them the dimensions of my ring lands and i am just waiting for them to get back to me. Would it be correct to say that the dimensions of the ring lands vary depending on the manufacturer of the piston? Just in case it is of any interest my ring land sizes are as follows:

Top Groove - 1.5mm x .153" Deep
Second Groove - 1.5mm x .178" Deep
Oil Groove - 3mm x .153" Deep

Yes you are right as some use thinner radial width and lower tension than others.
