Nobody will be able to tell for sure from that mess, but the most likely;
Going into corners oil pressure was dropping out causing rod bearing damage. Rod bearing damage caused the additional clearance letting the piston hit the head on ex cycle and shatter.
Dry sump would have kept this from happening, accusump is the next best thing. You might want to put side traps in the pan or change the pan to the Autocraft pan.

Wow.
First off, that sucks.
Second, thanks for posting up the great pics.
Third, I agree with 427 (Kurt). If you are gonna do lots of twisty racing then dry sump is the best way to prevent this kind of damage.
