is it possible to put a cam in a ls1 without taking out the lifters n if there is a way plz let me know need help fast.

I'm sure if you do a search on the forum, you'll find your answer. There's a magnetic tool designed for this.

theres also a tool that slides in under them to hold them up. ls1howto.com has a good write up on it.

After i did a search, i realized there was way too much info for you to read just to answer your question... I do recommend you search the forums anyways, just to learn and familiarize yourself with everything, especially the stickys.

I will however redirect you ls1 how to, because there is a great write up on doing a cam install without removing lifters. Is it recommended? Most would say no, depending on the cam grind. But it's up to you to decide. I hope no one opposes to me posting this link.

when i did mine i just spun the cam a couple times and pulled it out. the lifters have a little "pocket" the get stuck in. from cam going out to new cam in was probably less than 5 minutes. if a lifter falls however...
