Default Which cam? Experiences?

I have an 00 t/a. M6, 80k miles, slp catback, hollowed out cats, ordered qtp lt headers, 80mm intake/manifold. Heres the deal, last night I ordered the Tsunami cam from Texas speed, woke up today to find that my credit card didnt go through. I feel like this is my 2nd chance to make a better decision. I'm by no means knocking the Tsunami, but after doing more research I feel its not quite right for me. This is my DD, I street/strip race, but more street. I want a decent sized cam, that produces a good gain for my $, like anyone else, but dont want to loose driveability. I plan to still stick with a texas speed cam. Im considering the Torquer3? Can someone point me in a good direction of a TSP cam that would suit me good. Please share experiences

Contact TSP, they are great guys to talk to about it. The Torquer 3 is a good cam but I think you may have PTV clearance problems but you would have to talk to TSP about it.

I've installed 5 cams for Camaros and Corvettes. I've put in 2 Raptors, 2 MS3s and a Lunati 55008 (a hair smaller than the MS3). All turned out well and everyone so far is happy. Best mpg was the Lunati, after tuning gets near 28mpg (M6 trans probably helps, but that car has 4.30 rear ratio - probably hurts). Like usually gets said, figure out what you want to do and continue researching Good luck

Good choice on the Torquer v.2, although I would spend the extra $100 for the PRC dual springs and titanium retainers.

Just throwing this out there, the shop has to take my heads off to get to my cam, a buddy of my has ls6 heads sitting in his garage, I'm not sure if i will have time to make this all work, but if so, how benifical would it be for me to swap my ls1 heads with ls6? with my torquer2 cam from TSP

you do not have to take heads off to do a cam in a LS motor!but if the heads are already off get the LS6 heads from you friend.do a valve seat leak test on the LS6 heads, pour solvent down the runner.LS6 head is good for 20 hp,give you friend alot of beer and you will get the heads for a great price.

I installed the torquer 2 about 300 miles ago, and man it runs good. It sounds good through long tubes and a good flowing exhaust. I installed the PRC Stage 2.5 5.3 heads at the same time, and through a loose unlocked converter it put 396/356 to the ground. I expect the car to be in the mid to high 11's.

ECHO ECho echo . . .

No need to remove heads to remove cam. Don't even have to remove A/C condenser for this (but you've go to be careful )

I can get the heads off my buddy (ls6 heads) for 500 tomarrow, and sell my stock heads for ? not sure, but this would all have to happen by tomarrow, I'm trying to figure out if this is a good choice for me. Im spending an extra $200 for bolts because they took the heads off anyways, Im looking at it through the aspect that theyre already off, and maybe i should take advantage, for my money, would i be please to have the ls6 heads, and what price range could i get for my ls1 heads?

2K? You're probably running 853's? anywhere from 25-75 sounds normal. Don't skimp on bolts...

Why did they take your heads off? And you might get $200 for your stock heads, more like $150 though.

25-75 what is normal? I dont understand why any bolt would cost $150, but thats where I'm heading this morning is to summit. I have to get what I need to finish this up. If my stock parts dont sell by this after noon I'll keep the ls1 heads. Was just weighing my options means the heads will be out of the car.
