Default Mix/Match Retainer Locks

Hey guys and gals!

I recently bought a set of valve springs/retainers/locks from a forum member and everything showed up at my house okay except there were only 30 retainer locks instead of 32.

Is it okay to mix 2 new GM locks with the 30 other low-mileage locks (not sure where they came from)?

Thanks in advance!

So GM locks are the exact same as locks that would come with Patriot gold dual springs and titanium retainers?

There are some springs that will not take GM retainers and locks. I do not know about Patriot Duals because I have never used them.

There are two styles that I know of, 7* and 10* if you take one of the locks with you and compare side to side with the stock ones you should beable to see the difference
