Default 6.0 liter heads on an LS1

I bought a set of patriot performance 6.0 liter stage 3 heads from a friend last year in hopes of building a 408 lQ9 for my 98 trans am. Funds got cut, so I'm wondering if my 6.0 liter heads will work with my factory Ls1. As of now the Ls1 is all stock besides a LS6 intake and a Vortech supercharger with 9lbs of boost. I also have an EPP forced induction camshaft I'd like to install. If the heads work will the heads/cam combo be too much for the factory short block with 9lbs of boost? Cam specs are 232/240 duration, .595/.608 lift, 115 lope separation.

It shouldnt, but the Titanic shouldnt have sunk either.

It will lower the compression which will be better for more booooooost.

Thanks for the input guys. Now do you think the factory short block will be capable of handling the power? The car lays down 428rwhp now with factory heads/cam.

Depends on your set up. N/A the factory short block is good till about 500 rwhp Yet I have seen stock bottom end LS1 running 600+ rwhp and close to 700 rwtq under boost and with an E85 conversion and a good tune. Really its about your set up and tune. Other than that the LS block series and I mean the block only can with stand upwards of 1K hp.
