Default Another pp S2 LS6 and tsp 231/237 install

Installed this package about a month ago and after 100 miles of break-in took her to the redline yesterday. All i can say is the car pulls hard as hell. I still need to tune it but damn it's fast. Thanks TSP and Terry can't wait to see what numbers she puts down but i know it will be well over 400hp.

I'm glad to hear that the setup is installed and running well. It's certainly a proven package! You'll be way past 400 RWHP, so I wouldn't sweat that. If you have all of the normal bolt-ons (i.e. long tubes, off-road y-pipe, pulley, induction, etc.) and some good tuning, 440+ RWHP is certainly well within reach. Not too bad for a $2,300 heads/cam package.

Keep us posted on your numbers, and let us know if you get the new setup to the track!

Any updates with some tuning? We can never get enough results with the TSP 231/237.

I would love to update but in Maryland it cost about $1,200 to tune and dyno the car. I think that is total bullshit but that is how it is around here. I was actually going to give you a call to see if a mail-order tune would be enough for this setup. Then i would probably find somewhere to dyno it to see what it puts down.

NJ is probably my only option for tuning at a reasonable price. Thanks for the reply.

I'm running one of Jason @ TSP's mail order tunes. He does a damn good job on them. He has lots of experience with that heads/cam combo. Give him a chance, he's a heck of a lot cheaper than that and I think you'll be pleased with the results, just as I am with mine.

If i do get a mail order tune it would be from tsp because i figure they know what this cam needs to run well. Gomer, before tune did you have a low rpm buck and hesitation?

I never even tried to drive the car with the stock tune. While I was doing the H/C swap I sent my computer to TSP, so it was programmed when I started it for the first time.

Definately call Jason at F-body Central. I have never heard of tuning costing anywhere NEAR a grand. That is absurd. Who quoted you that much?

Call Jason at FBC. I too would like to know how gave you a quote for $1200. That price is just crazy.

Maryland performance center gave me a quote of $1,200 to $1,600. I agree that is absurd. And then they tell me they won't just dyno my car because it is for real race cars. What a joke.

Never heard of them. Where are they located? I am almost tempted to call them and ask for a quote to see what all comes with the $1200-$1600? At a minimum, a reach-a-round I would hope.
