Convince me 346 or stroker?
I am in a dilema trying to decide between the two. I think I will be able to use my current heads with custom pistons to reduce cr with a stroker but something inside is telling me to stick with the 346 especially since I already have alot of parts that I know work well with a 346, heads, cam, headers, TB, ETC. I am going to have to do a rebuild either way and with the eagle cranks a stroker really wont be tha much more money but like I said my better side is telling to stick with cheaper more often built 346 mainly for cost and reliablitly reasons.
So I ask you 346 or 383 which way should I go?

when i was at the TR shootout, Mike and Tony from MTI both told me that 346" combos are really working well for drag setups, esp considering the cost and the ease of getting parts fast and no down time.
I was debating between the exact same two myself. I ended up going forged 346. I didn't think that the Eagle parts have been out long enough to justify putting it in my car. They make great products for many other applications, but I like to have some assurance. I will probably take some flaming for saying that, but I would rather stick with proven parts and not have to wonder....and with the money you save, you can buy other stuff......

LOL I'll never be able to keep up with the big boys and if I could they would just get something better. Im wondering if I just need to be humble(safe) and keep the 346. We'll see I still have some time left before I have to decide.

Matters on what you want out of your car.A 346 is a stronge motor in the lower rpm and love to rev..A stroker will give more power down in the low rpm area and will hurt the tires more..I for one like lots of torque,so Stroker gets my vote..
