Stall converter install
I was just curious how difficult this process is, this will be my first time doing so, so if somebody knows a site with pictures of the process would be very appreciated. Thanks.

This has it generally covered. The hardest part for me was getting the trans to let go of the block!

Its actually pretty easy and straight forward, only problem we had was gettin the lines off the side of the tranny with those damn C clips. Other than that, wasn't too bad if you have basic mechanical ability. Just make sure the converter is fully seated before you bolt it back up

Please take the time to check your converter to flexplate clearance. Most recommend a maximum of 3/16ths clearance. I recently installed a yank and found I had about 5/16ths, meaning it required shims. I would have never known this if I didnt check.
i just took out my trans this past weekend using the write up previously mentioned, it was definitely a lot easier than i thought, i waited to do the e-clips til i removed all the bellhousing bolts, and the hardest part was taking it out from under my car(ended up sliding it on a tarp) and i also had to max out my jack stands to get it high enough but other than that its easy

Yeah, i dropped the trans a few inches before I could get the stupid e-clips off the lines.
If you're just doing the converter swap you don't need to take the lines off, they'll drop down enough to allow you to get the old one out and the new one in. (I don't like doing that in case the tranny slips or whatnot, but it is possible if you don't wanna fool with the e-clips.
If you're never taken a 4l60e out of one of these cars, it'll take you forever to get the bellhousing bolts out the first time. I used to think these guys were nuts when they said they could get them all out in 20 minutes. Now I'm the same way. You just need to figure out what combination of extensions you need. (You'll need like 36" of extensions to reach the top 2-3 bolts).
