Default 210k on the car, what to do!?

the car i picked up has 210k on it, i do not know if it has the original motor/trans in it. it shifts awesome, good oil pressure, no quirks at all. a lil ls1 tick but nothing bad. my question is this... do i gamble with a used longblock? theres so many things that could go badly. they could lie about the mileage, running good, bearings, anything really. do i just rip er apart and fix anything thats warn out/out of spec? do i run er to the ground? im just tryin to figure out whats the smartest thing to do.

my plans for the car are simple, heads and cam,4k stall,DRs at the track. nothing crazy right now. mainly because i know the rearend wont handle to much punishment. just lookin to run some 11s and cruise.

i dont want to throw heads and cam on this motor just to have it pop, that would be ignorant of me. im just at a loss at which route to take. i had a shop qoute me at 2900 bucks for a full forged bottom end, thats with takin the motor out and installing it. but i could do a lq9 for much cheaper. i need yalls opinions! lets hear what yall would do!

i just bought this car with a plan in mind that this motor was going to be on its last leg when i picked it up. but its got life in it! so thats why im asking this now. thanks a bunch!

buy motor now, build it while driving on the one its got now, and when it blows, you have one ready to swap out with minimal down time.

btw, SDPC has LS6 crate motors for like $3,100 if you want to go that route.
