Default ms4/afr 205

Im new to this ls stuff and I was hoping to get some opinions on if you guys think this is too much cam for what im trying to do. It's a carb setup and its going to be right at 11:1 with a set of afr 205's. Its already got aftermarket pistons, so piston to valve clearance isn't an issue. The car weighs about 2800 lbs with a 4.10 gear and a th400 trans. I hope this covers everything. Thanks

That should make for a pretty stout combo. I assume you are milling the heads to get to that compression number unless the piston is a dome piston? In that light of a car, and the right converter, the car has potential to put down a number at the track. We have run that combo before with nice results on a couple different cars in the past.

Look at my sig below.

Very close setup but I have a little more CI and CR. My car is 2830 race ready and it is a solid 10.20's car. You will want a 4500+ converter.

could you use rhodes bleed down lifters?would they cause a false knock?I think the smaller runners will help out the torque at the lower rpms.
