5.3 build
5.3 build I have a 5.3 in my 2000 GMC 1500. I want to know some factory specs such as compression, combustion chamber size, factory hp. I am starting to hear some lifter issues on a cold start up, so its time for a new cam, lifters timing chain and oil pump. I want this thing to be reliable and make 350 rwhp with just a cam swap. Would it be a good idea for a LS6 or LS2 intake and tb because I have these items just laying around.

should be a sticky for specs.use the ls6 intake.how many miles on this motor?EPS sells cams for this engine.compcam sells lsr cams for this motor,54-455-11.TSP has a cam kit for $590,cam,springs,push rods.
I am really looking to clear up some engine noise on a cold start and get some more power out of my 5.3. I dont know what a good cam would be for me since this is my daily and would like a choppy bump stick and some good power to come out of it.
