OP, I just noticed this... and not sure if anyone else did, doesn't appear anyone pointed it out... Are you on the stock LS1 intake? I saw nothing about an LS6 or Fast Intake... I can tell you this, you won't make over 400whp without something else.

I almost quoted you and said that, but wasn't sure what intake the OP was running. If you are running a ls1 intake OP....scratch that ASAP. ls6 and the car will feel much better, especially with a good tune. Also..I don't think his set up will make 400 with a ls1 intake. Maybe 380 or 390. Those intakes suck.

Guys I pointed out the LS1 intake but they are not as "crappy" as most prople think. An LS6 is worth about 5hp on a stock motor and I would guess 7-8 on that motor....

My money would be on 10whp with that setup, that's just me though. Either way, its gains all across the powerband that really wake it up.

Well, i took the car back to my tuner today, to find out the map sensor is barely reading, its reading at 10 ... all the time, brought it back home, and a buddy of my came over to help swap out the map sensor, and found that all the wires are messed up. My tuner and him both told me, it could hold me back 100hp with it running incorrectly being in limp mode. I'm hoping thats true and tomarrow I will be smiling, did anyone ever have a similar problem?

Also to the intake question, unfortunitely yes i am still running my stock ls1 intake, ran out of money, i hope that this MAP problem will be a night and day difference, and i can get back to concentrating on an intake.

Not trying to nitpick but on the FAST website they advertise the 102 as being worth 20hp over the LS1 and 15hp over the LS6. That is obviously ONLY 5hp difference... Yes the LS6 is better and will support a few more hundred rpm than a LS1 it is just not the POWER KILLER many say it is....

But when a cam is involved, and wanting the air, especially up top, I could see a 20 hp peak with a ls6 over a ls1 mani. I would love to see back to back dynos of a set up similar to mine, or even the ops, using ls1 mani, ls6 mani, and any of the unported FAST manis, then the same FAST ported. But that is a lot of time involved for a shop to do, so very doubtful it will happen.

Ah yeah. I have an ms3 cam and it bucks pretty good at low rpm. That's normal bro. Though, with those upgrades you have it should feel like a rocket!

It was all in the tune with mine. Getting the right fuel put in it and such. She runs like a champ and a GREAT dd car. Couldn't ask for better. All in the tune my friend.

Hope this MAP thing works out for you though!

Do you believe everything you read on the internet? Of course not. While I could definitely see a 5hp gain in just a stock/basic bolt-on application, we're talking about a cam that requires more RPM, and a better flowing set of heads. With that cam tied in, I think 10whp is definitely reasonable.

Agree'd

My tuners work was worth 50hp over my baseline with the little tuning I did along with a new MAF...

Agree strongly with both of these guys. For the 300ish bucks it cost to upgrade to the LS6 intake, it's a no brainer if you're cammed (or otherwise).

People an LS6 pretty much flatlines at about 6300. It is better than a LS1 but not by as much as some think.... It is not killing this guys power like you think it is....
