possible coolant leak need alittle help
I notice that I smell coolant every once in a while, seems to be coming from the passenger side, I was thinking it was the coolant overflow bottle. I have never seen a leak, my coolant light comes on every now and then but if I turn the car off then on it is gone, my coolant level is good. I had one of my techs here at work pressurize my system and NADA!!!!!! NO flipping leaks. I have checked and rechecked my lines. I also checked my radiator for oil and my oil for antifreeze, so no blown head gasket, my car never gets above 180. IS there something I am missing, or are the cooling system on the ls1's just really high pressure and my overflow just getting full and then pressure goes down and sucks it back in???

Checked there. It's wierd I havn't had to add any. Its like a depressurization in the system. I am very meticulious about my cars, if there is any leak or sign of one it is fixed right away. I just can't seem to find one!!!!!!!!!!! I am just curious if I am the only one who has the problem!!! Is there any small coolant lines on them around the radiator area that I might be missing???

I'm betting that's what's wrong with mine. Actually I know. haha When I'm sitting in traffic, my low coolant light comes on. I can fill the overflow up and step back and watch the water come dripping out on the ground.

it was such a small hole, it was the size of a pen head. I took a butane torch and closed it right up no leaks even after a pressure test. It is not any fun taking the damn thing out though. I already had the please of replacing the wiper motor!!!!!!! My arms are still battle scared from it.
