We took apart my friend's motor today as there was water in the oil. Figured it was a head gasket. Unfortunately, it was part of the block missing. The majority of the piston was in the oil pan. We pulled out enough sleeve/block that the hole was about the size of a dollar bill. We also found a bolt inside and think that was the cause of the problem. If you look close at the second picture, you can see the bolt wedged between the rod wrist pin and what's left of the cylinder wall. I can send out souvenirs tomorrow.
By the way, this is a stock motor. Stock heads/cam and no nitrous/boost.

Yeah we just cleaned it out and threw the heads back on. It's running better than ever.
