Default 114 LSA or 112 LSA?

I'm thinking about going with the TSP 228R cam. I know that the 114 LSA idles smoother than a 112 LSA. But, is there any difference in performance? I am going to run a 3200 stall so a rougher idle shouldn't hurt me (I think). I do love the sound of a good camming car. What would you guys do?

Difference is 0 overlap Vs 4* for the 112. I would go 112 all the way.

Yeah that 4° will add a little more inconsistent idle note. So there is a plus since you were looking for it.

There will be a very slight performance increase with the 112.. Plus it will sound better.

112 for me as well.

I think the difference is the torque will come in sooner with the 112lsa. Dont take my work for it though, someone will correct me if im worng.

I went with a Patrick G custom cam on my last car. Worth every penny. Loped like crazy made sick power. (399RWHP Cam only) That was just with full exhaust, and a lid. Still LS1 Intake.

Streetability was awesome too. But I think that is just the tune for the most part.

IIRC tighter LSA = more peaky power curve.
Wider LSA = Broader power curve.

more overlap = more power. and since its only 4* vs a "donkey dick" cam @ like 15+*, then i see no reason not to!
