rod and main bearing cap tang question?

i bought a built ls1 and tore it down to double check clearances and so on, but now when i reinstall the rod and crank main caps do i put them tang to tang? and on the rods do the tangs face outward like old school small blocks? any help apprciated thanks matt

You install them with the tangs on the opposite side as the upper block-side bearing. Sometimes when you tear an engine down, a few might be opposite and some the same...but you can't go wrong with making them all opposite. That's the way our aftermarket engine assemblies are assembled here.
