Will an Lq4 crank work in an ls1?

You need to ensure the truck crank does not have a thicker rear flange than the LS1 did. Certain truck cranks did and that would be problematic!

casting number 216 was the shorter crank (LS1 length) and 215 was the longer truck style.

the only difference between a 216 truck (5.3, 6.0) and the 216 (LS1) is the LS1 crank has been gun drilled. other than that, they are identical.

and just so you know, the only years for the 215 crank was 99-2000 6.0 engines. 2001 they went to a shorter 216 crank with a spacer.
