Default Light scratches on pistons

Well I decided to clean my pistons while changing the heads and I used scotch brite pads and brake cleaner. Well this wasn't really working so I decided to use a razor blade. Now I'm done cleaning them but now some of the pistons have very light scratches on them. There are no sharp edges on the scratches they are smooth. Will I be ok if I leave them alone or should I sand them down a bit? If so what grit to use on the sand paper? They are forged JE pistons if it makes any difference.

They are probably fine and will fill with carbon. Sharp edges could create hot spots, but you said those are gone. If they do concern you go over them with a 400 then a 1000 then a 2000. But do each one at tdc. Don't risk hitting a cylinder wall.

Next time use a plastic putty knife
