possible problems with cam and high mileage
possible problems with cam and high mileage I just purchased a mega death cam kit from hpe in texas. The kit is coming with the cam (of course), retainers, springs, and push rods. I'm also getting some rod bolts for reliability. This is all going in a motor with 160,000 miles on it. Could this cam cause me any trouble because of the mileage?
Something that big possibly can. Did you get dual springs? Any other mods in your car? I heard of cam like the ms3 that will start allowing other parts to break, may cause a chain reaction and again there are a few members that had cams installed on high mileage 4th gens that are proud to say they never had a problem.
