Comp Cams retaining plate?

I was wondering if anyone has used this part from Comp. Does this peice provide any benifit to people with less than extreme valvetrain.

I saw that the other day and was wondering the same thing. Also thinking that anything that helps lower friction is a good thing.

thats what i would think, but I just wonder how much good this peice does and at what point if any you would actually have a need for it.............or is it like MSD coil packs
