Default LS1 vs LS6 on a camaro?

I was looking around for ls1 cars since i wanted to sell my lt1 and v6 and buy an ls1 f body car. Anything either a trans am or camaro z28 or even a ws6 or ss i was interested in.

Long story short, I went to see a 2001 camaro z28 and as i looked at it, it was in almost perfect condition i was surprised as the car seemed out of the factory look, everything in perfect condition from seats to exterior, anyways, the car has 93000miles and the seller wanted 5,000 for it, I was surprised why so low since i drove the car and it seemed pretty good, i then opened the hood to look at the ls1 and since im not too familar with it i was checking it out, and to my surprise it has an ls6 intake manifold and the throttle body had the throttle cable to accelerate the car on the left instead of the right,

How can I tell the difference between an ls1 and ls6, could it be possible they swaped in an ls6? if so this car is a super steal

All 01 and 02 f-bodies got the LS6 intake but not the LS6 heads and cam from the factory. But $5000 for that car with that many miles if its in the condition you say it is in.

its good right 5k i mean this car is spotless and it doesnt have that many miles compared to the other ls1's i've seen around here, so is there any way visually to know if its an ls6?

Thats a great deal if you can afford it. It's most likely a LS1 with a LS6 intake as it came from the factory. Goodluck

Look on the passenger side head. Near the front cylinder above the exhaust manifold. If it is stamped 241, it's an LS1, if it is stamped 243 that's what came on the LS6.
