Default Could someone explain "LS6 Block"?

How do they have an LS6 block Im trying to figure out what it is...Info please.

The LS6 block is the one used in the Z06 corvette. You can buy one for your fbody if you want, but the differences are very subtle and probably not worth the money to do a conversion. The block design includes a revised PCV system and more importantly, vented cylinder chambers in the low end to allow oil to flow through, reducing pumping losses slightly at high rpm. LS6 heads also have improved flow characteristics over LS1, as well as coming with a bigger camshaft.
