This is NOT the LS2 motor. The LS2 information is now published at many sites for the Vette and it is a 2 valve motor.

Two intake valves on top, and an exhaust valve on bottom.

Nope that is a prodotpe(sp) I dont even think it will be consiter a Gen3 motor. All the gen3 motor can exchange all parts except pistons and some micx stuff. Those heads wont even fit on the gen3 motors.

That's a truck motor sitting there. Notice the water pump outlet, fuel rails, and accessory setup.

Scott Turvey I think was talking about that motor but, I forget what the designation is on it.

Reckless - Did you change the name of the pictures or is that what they were.

Cam is in the block with two pushrods. One pushrod works a big rocker on both intakes the other pushrod works the exhaust valve via that horizontal bar. No overhead cam on that motor.

I see them just fine. I named the files when I saved them. I got them over on the GTO forum.

Ok, here is another thread with a SAE paper about that motor.

This design is evidence of the excellence of the original two-valve Gen III head. Obviously GM engineers were asked to improve head flow while retaining the economics of the single-cam, pushrod block. That they found it necessary to resort to such an inelegant if not goofy solution suggests that the two-valve head is near optimal for that configuration.

That is a Power-On-Demand truck engine.

PSJ - I think you mean Displacement-On-Demand.

Power on demand = right foot to the floor.

Looks sturdy, but look at the size of the rocker pedestal (for lack of better term) and the 3rd valve connector. They look extremely heavy for valvetrain components, I wonder how much they weigh?

man that rocker geometry is way f*ked up! Doesn't look very reliable, I dunno just don't like the looks of it. I thought the whole point of having more valves was because you had an overhead cam and that it was feasbile and wouldn't have to make some funny setup like this.
