What about coil packs? will 5.3 work or do I have to get ls1?

depends do you want a cam more for 1/4 mile or just for topend. ms3 cam is good but at high rpms. 228r cam is really good

Either one. The truck coils are more sought after.

when you say truck, is that any 5.3 ie sub, tahoe or just silverados

Any 5.3. They are all the same whether it be silverado, tahoe or yukon. The 6.0 and 5.3 truck motors all have the same coils.

dont listen this guy. you dont need a big cam to make power these days. you are going to want a cam to make good low end to lug that car aroumd. call a sponsor. they might even spec you a reverse split. look into the el torro.


btw, its camAro, not camEro.

OP, I think the best thing to do is to call a vendor or one of the cam gurus, tell them what you want/what you use the car for, and let them pick/spec a cam for you.
