Default Single Piston Ring???

Hey guys I was installing some new pistons and rings and broke a single top ring. Is there any place that will sell me just a single ring or a set for one piston or do I have to buy another whole set of 8?? I just really need the one.
Thanks

Call up the ring manufacture, they should be able to do something for you.

Federal Mogul/Sealed Power/ Speed Pro sells 'open stock' rings by individual part number if that happens to be the set you used.

You may need to get online and call their tech hotline, I have ordered singles before.

Summit can probably do the order if you can provide them with the part number.

thanks for all the help guys, I actually got ahold of Federal Mogul and they gave me the part number for a single piston set (just put a "w" in front of the part# for the set of 8 lol) and called up Scoggin Dickey who had Federal Mogul drop ship it for me. Was like 22 bucks.

Iam using a crappy ring compressor which I blame for breaking that ring lol

^^^you are using a ring compressor for installing the rings on the piston ?

usually it is just used when you install the piston and the rod already assembled with the rings in to the bore

oh no, the rings were on the piston, the ring broke when the crappy ring compressor got wedged in between the piston and cylinder wall, I tried pulling it out and it snapped the ring.
