Cometic sucks...how about milling these heads?

Well wouldn't you think they should make a final 1 thousandths slow cut for something that costs 1200 bucks to give a mid-high 10's Ra?

Any shop worth its salt should be able to measure the Ra because all the new motors are using MLS gaskets and some have very stringent requirements (Toyota and Honda come to mind). It is very hard from the photo to determine how rough the finish is. If I posted a photo of my AFR's, they would look the same but the surface was 25 Ra when I measured it. They should have also provided flatness numbers.

Smoother isnt always better when it comes to gasket seal.

Ive milled heads super fast and super slow just to see how rough or smooth I could make them, just for kicks. I knew I still had to make a final pass to get the RA I wanted.
