Default Engine stutter at high r's and at wot

Got a weird problem, car runs great with general driving, but when I lay into her she runs good for a bit then baam it seems like a severe misfire (bad coil or fuel?)but no codes are thrown, only codes is the tps. It only stutters at the high end and I can let off and do it again and sometimes it won't miss a beat. I've done about everything I can think of and I'm stumped

Maybe it's tagging the rev limiter? If it's an A4 it will typically shift slightly after the set point as it takes the trans a few milliseconds to actually shift. Mine does this once in a while, particularly if it's spinning the tires when it shifts because the rpm's are building faster than they would be if it wasn't spinning.

Don't think so, it does it around 5500 my limiter is 6700 and it's a little harsher than bumping the limiter

Could be your valve springs. Mine had a stutter that started at 5000rpm and lasted till about 5500 then pulled fine until the rev limiter. After I changed the springs out it was gone. Also the motor will make a funny sound when the stutter is happening.

I upgraded to yellow ls6 springs. Next time I would definatly go with something stronger, the problem is starting to come back.

Sounds like your getting valve float... what's the mileage on those springs? I agree... sounds like upgrade time.

Yellow ls6 springs I was told low mileage, it also seems to do it at lower r's like when it's being lugged but rarely
