Question How well will this 370 hold up?
I might be getting a low mileage 370 that I want to use to handle a procharger. How much will it handle?

Its a 370 Iron Block, Wiseco Pistons, Callies rods, Childs & Albert dura moly rings, Stock Crank, & ARP Main Studs.

Im just not sure if I can do big boost with those rings. What do you think?

Just a random guess but I'd assume you could throw anything at that 6.0 that you could throw at a stock 5.7 and be safe. assuming it was assembled properly

Do you know what the ring gaps are? That will be a big factor on how much boost it'll handle.

I dont know. All I know is that it was built for nitrous, but ill be using it with a procharger...

If the rings were gapped for nitrous then you should be fine with a blower.

You're probably going to want to run big heads and a thicker head gasket to lower the comp in that... Nitrous motors are generally higher comp.

I knew that, thanks though. Its just that I found a good deal on this short block & everything looks good exept for the rings. Ive been reading that anything over 10 psi is recommending that you use a steel top ring. These are Childs & Albert Dura moly. Why would they build a motor like that & not use a steel top ring? LME built it btw...
