Default What CAM? Catastrophic Issues require me to get a NEW One. Want Bigger...

Just Posted full story, but to summarize, Need New CAM, lifters, and valve(s)

Here is what I currently have:

2001 C5 Corcvette (Automatic)
3.42 Gears
Yank SS 3600 TC (2.5 STR)
Patriot Heads
Comp Cam 228/228 .588.588 114 LSA
KOOKS Long Tube Headers
No Cats
Basically all bolt ons
RPM Transmission
NX 100 Wet Shot (haven't been spraying but will)
*Car is NOT a daily driver so I can live with a little more since it is just for fun

What I want:

Good overall power
Good Low to Mid (remeber I have a 3600 stall!)
NOT a Top end queen in exchange for no power down low
Pretty Aggresive Lope but Not where the car drives and idles like crap

Have a 228/.588/114LSA so want to definately go bigger.

What Cam shoudl I get and Why?

Shop reccomended just off the top of their head maybe going 228/232 or not any bigger than 228/236 (didn't mention lift).
Have Automatic so that might help you suggest accordingly.
Have 3600Stall
Have Nitrous (need a Cam that would work well, BUT will run nitrous just sometimes, more often will be NA)

What do you guys think?

Need to make a decision soon as the Car is just sitting in the shop

You have the wrong mentality. The internet has tainted the proper mentality for correctly choosing a cam.

You shouldn't say to yourself "I want bigger", you should say "I want better valve events". A bigger cam isn't always better. A cam with better valve events and lobe design will almost always be better.

Responded on CF. First, figure out why your current setup went toes up. You may have issues that are best not repeated with the next set of parts. You need to check the valve springs that come off the heads.

226/234 111+2 from http://www.engpowsys.com

Why? Will work well with your stall, EPS lobes will make more power over your old lobes, better valve events (right Damien), will like the spray, will pull to 6800 if you want it to, and will lope harder than what you had before by a lot (not a goal of this cam, just a byproduct).
