I did a Cam swap and when I had the Lifters out I noticed there was a small hole on the side of each one. Now my question is, do those little holes have to point in any certain direction? I wasnt sure so I put them all facing tward the front of the motor.

 

as far as i know it doesnt matter. my comp lifter instructions didnt specify an install direction. just as long as there secure in the lifter cups it should be fine.
