Default Need help!! 6.0 swap

well i swap my bottom end for a 6.0 everything was working fine the first day but today i was just driving and the car cut off thought it was gas cos all my gages are working funny so i went and got gas but no wasnt it check the fuel rails for gas is going thru spark on every coil and all fuses are good the car cranks but it dosent start its like if it wants to start but it didnt have enough spark spark plugs are good or do i need to change the measurement on the tip and i dont have the o2 sensors after the cats i was running it with just exhaust manifold

talk to some people they said just tune the ecu cos it try to read but its just not the same firing system and its trying to make every sensor run like it had an ls1 not an lq in it and im putting my cats and sensors back for that then just cutting them and adding x pipe any ideas y that happened

oh yea it didnt burn any cable cos the heat or fire out the exhaust manifold but the service engine light was on check it and it read crank sensors but it look good but im still going to pull it out on the morning see if is good could that sensor go out like that while im driving and turn the car off like that thanks any help or ideas well help:ban g::c onfused:

The code for the crank sensor is what killed it. I'm almost positive. Unless a sensor is broken or caked up with ****, you cant just look at it and say it looks good. You either ohm it to check the readings to rule it out or replace it. As far as the tune, yes it will help but I dont think thats the main cause. My buddy had one in his for over a month running on a cammed ls1 tune and it was fine other than it needing some tweeking for the new setup. Check the connections on the sensor and the harness to make sure theyre not pinched/cut and go from there. If that is good, me personally I'd just replace the sensor sense it's already throwing the code.

Are you running stock maifolds only, nothing else? Thats a really, really bad idea. Besides that, your crank position sensor is probably causing the problem.

Replace the sensor that threw the code first of all if theres nothing wrong with the connector or wiring that you can see.

Not having a tune wont make the car not run at all.

The car shut off while you were drinving is when the sensor took a ****. With that sensor dead, im pretty sure the ecm wont know when to fire each cylinder.

Actually, I thought I had read that it would run without the crank sensor but would not run with out the cam position sensor. Maybe I need to do some re-reading.

Haha, well good luck on it being a fairly cheap and easy fix.

Highly doubtful. Not having a tune wont cause the crank sensor to take a ****, it did it on its own.
